Subject: Oh don't apologize E - of course you should speak to it, especially if you have experience (unless you mean you shouldn't speak because it brings back bad memories). I sometiemes (alot actually) have a hard time, especially if I've read the whole book, speaking to just the moment in question w/o infusing what I know happens in the future. Does that make sense? Sometimes I do remember exactly what I felt or thought when I first read something, before knowing how it all turns out..but mostly I'm answering in hindsight and forget to stay in the moment :-)
In reply to: Elaine 's message, "She does seem older than her years, I agree. She always did seem older. But I still don't think it's good to take in a teenager until you really know and understand teenagers in general, and troubled teenagers in particular. It is sure a whole 'nuther world. That's just a personal thing from one who has taken in older foster children, including one named Lawrence (Little Larry in our house). Now I'm straying too far from the conversation! This part of the storyline hits particularly close to home with me, so I probably shouldn't speak to it, sorry." on 17:07:35 08/10/09 Mon
