Subject: Newbie here bothering you again. I have just finished reading the three books again and am struck by how you write the deaths of characters in such a real angst fashion. The chapter about Maude was so sad. It was gut wrenching to lose Sylvie and Lawrence. However, for me, the most tragic loss was David. He was, in a way, so pure and so believing in his cause. (Well, at least we last saw him on his knees in the execution position so I am assuming he was executed????). Was one character more difficult for you to write related to their demise than another? Have other readers expressed to you the death they found most difficult to read? Hate to bother you but after the second read, I think I have more thoughts/questions than after the first read. Simply a magnificant series and I thank you for it.
