Lucien is pure evil. The devil in the Church's cloth. I want Jamie to run just to keep that man from power. But of course, I feel bad for Jamie at the same time...when does he get to live his life and stop living his father's? Is this what happens with people of his station? I think the realization that Pamela comes to is pretty profound here. Comparing Jamie to Casey, I think she's seeing how passion can be an impact in a loving relationship. She and Casey have that and it seems like what she needs. Although the more I read about Jamie....well lets say I sit firmly on the fence between picking either of these men. From whom much has been given, much will be demanded. I think it's not only appropriate for Jamie to run for this office, it's crucial. He possesses the skills, and, whether he believes it or not, the drive to do the right thing. His country is already on the brink, and allowing Lucien into a position of power is almost certainly doom. I think all 4 - Pat, Casey, Jamie and Pamela - have big empty holes in their lives.
