Subject: Oh my. I shall be spending the day in search of 'this one word.' Eight in the morning is not the time to be thinking about saturnalia, cg. It sets a tone for the remainder of the day, and here I have all this work to get done. ;-)

  • Tracy you are too cute :-) Lovely snippet there Cindy..I had to look up saturnalistic (even though I thought I had the gist of it *g*). What I didn't know or realize is that John was in love with Jamie. We only see him the beginning of EU right? Maybe this has come out in other snippets and it just sailed right over my head. And ya know girl, wetting our appetites like this does nothing for our patience for book #3 - but don't stop :-) (NT) -- Mahri, 07:03:02 11/28/07 Wed
  • Yes, we only meet him very briefly at the beginning of EU. But he's going to play a larger role in the rest of the series. (NT) -- celtgirl, 14:30:53 11/28/07 Wed
  • I remember those interested in Jamie encompassed both sexes, but I didn't remember that is was John. Saturnalistic another way to say he was a 'party animal'? It's funny, but saturnine means sluggish or gloomy. Both words look so similar but have such different meanings. (NT) -- Denise, 15:17:06 11/28/07 Wed
  • I didn't realize it either. I think, Cindy, you gave us part of this exerpt before (the classroom part), I don't recall reading the beginning and ending before--or maybe I just lost track of it--it certainly sheds new light. "Our" Jamie does inspire passion, doesn't he? How lucky you are to have these wonderful men in your head and how fortunate we are that you share them with us. (NT) -- PeggyB, 09:04:47 12/01/07 Sat
