78-3) Jamie is a very thorough, calculating and wealthy person. He needs to know everything that is going on and he has the resources to do so. Jamie is playing a very dangerous game of supporting the IRA while keeping up appearances with authorities, and that doesn't even include his involvement with the Brotherhood. Having informants everwhere may curtail a bit of the bloodshed, at least for those people he cares about. I had the feeling that the reason Jamie's men responded so quickly to Pat's killing business was that he's had a tail on Pat. Thanks for the clarification. I knew he didn't actually fight for the IRA but he has provided support for some IRA members including the Riordan family. Have you mentioned the Blue Angel name before? Does this have anything to do with the Brotherhood or is it entirely separate? I don't recall it, though I still need to re-read the last part of the book.
