Subject: Just a note that says even though I had no time to post or felt adequate for the philosophical disucussions I have on occasion lurked and enjoyed all your wonderful thoughts. Sometimes I wonder why I as a semi-intelligent beings I don't get the insights you wonderful ladies do...then I think well I enjoyed a damn good story and that has brought me hours of pleasure and the characters live with me for days so thats my insights....it was a wonderful discussion about a fantastic read! I am please that Jamie will find happiness, in the meantime I too have gone fishing *vbg*

  • What is he promising? To never leave her again? I think he’ll keep whatever promise he makes, to the best of his ability. But you just never know what will happen in future to cause actions, choices, decisions that might be seen as breaking the promise or betrayal. I don’t think he would intentionally go out and do something to hurt her or leave her for no reason. I obviously have a really hard time questioning his sincerity, and I'm not sure I know how to word this so it makes sense, but it was afterall, Pamela’s decision in Boston (even though she felt she had no other choice) that is the major factor in this rift between them. They’ve both made some mistakes, broke promises and hurt the other, it feels like if I question whether he’s sincere, I’m blaming him and I can’t do that.
