It wouldn't be good if they knew she'd met with William Bright because William Bright didn't want it known they'd met. He's playing both sides of the court here and doesn't want to get found out by anyone other than his direct henchmen, who are now dead anyway. Does that make sense? All the sun has gotten to my brain. :)
