Nothing he can do will please his opponents. Nothing he can say will persuade critics that he is not an idealog determined to shape the country into something unrecognizable. His worldview is not just warped... it is dangerous.

Yeah, I heard that for eight years. Gets old doesn't it? That step back to look at what the country is facing is about 8 years behind schedule.

For every birther there is a truther. For every elitest snob there is a dumb hillbilly. For every Rahm Emanuel there is a Karl Rove.

Sort of ironic, really.

If it is any consolation, the nation has been much more divided in the past and we survived that.

No offense, Carrie, but while reading your post I just shook my head. It really is the same thing all over again only everyone has reversed roles! Let's just hope the country wakes up after only 4 years of THIS guy! :P

And yes, Jeannine, we have survived worse. But the whole "Don't tell Obama what comes after a trillion" thingy is starting to ring a little too true and it's quite scary...

I was completely aware when Bush was president that this is just how our country is. Politics as usual.

I saw a poll on the Today show that said 50% of the people polled thought we should just get rid of all of Congress and start over. I think I'm starting to fall into this category.
