I completely agree with you. Both receptive and productive vocabulary are very important for a successful communication.
What I found interesting when I meant the definition of both vocabularies on a previous message, is that we realy have more receptive voc. and I had never noticed this fact before,mainly because I didn't know this concept of receptive and productive voc.
