I think it is important we modify materials for the students when necessary because there are some lessons that create a situation and teach expressions very polite in a situation that it´s not necessary. We have to be aware or our students may be ridiculous in some environment. I think a good source is internet because it offers us very good authentic materials that support meaninful interaction and provides learners a better understanding of when certain linguist forms take place.
