The author considers that without grammar the construction of natural and sophisticated discourse is impossible.
Therefore we as ESL teachers must teach grammatical items and structures in a context.Depending on the context the speaker/writer will make some strategic choice(word order, articles, ellipsis, tense and aspect and etc) to present their discourse to the receiver.There is a link between discourse organisation and grammatical choice, says the author.Ok guys, that's what I understood by Discourse analysis and grammar.
