That's a good question. I couldn't get it either. Going back to page 39 on the top of the page we can see: " That, as in Linde's explanation, can be used to refer across foci of attention, and, as is suggested by (2.5), can push a proposition out of central focus and marginalise it in some way." Does it mean: yes or no??? I'm still in doubt. Can anyboby help?
