Dear peers,
Sorry to go back to text5, page76.I posted it yesterday but I had a problem with connection and couldn´t send it.I´ll do my best to catch up with text 6.

What I´d like to point out is that: when teaching vocabulary, the teacher should be aware of how important it´s getting learners involved with interesting texts (excerpts from magazines, newspapers, internet, cartoons, songs...) in order to promote effective receptive and productive use of vocabulary. Focusing attention on new words, collocations, general and specific meanings of a word, synonyms, cognates, idiomatic expressions will help students to experience the appropriate use of vocabulary to communicate better as well as to develop their writing skills. Learning how to consult a dictionary as an strategy for comprehending and using words is another way of mastering receptive and productive use of vocabulary. It seems to me that most of the time reading is used for cheking comprehension, not as a way of helping learners to master receptive and productive use of vocabulary.
