To be honest, the age of womanhood is 14. Muslim religion looks down on impure things such as swine, alcohol, cigarettes, etcetera. The fundamentals do not teach of killing of innocent people. Jihad means to "struggle" and not "holy war" as most people think - but it's up for arguement depending on who you speak to. The Taliban is to blame, not the Afgans as a whole. If they were educated in masses, the people would not stand for it. However, banning school is a way to control the minds of the people as they look towards religious and government leaders for guidance. Don't blame the Afgans as a whole, blame the Taliban. Rather than dropping a few thousand bomb, why not drop a few thousand pigs into the Taliban headquarters! Spike their water with JD or C&C.
Also, some UK people have buried "Muslim" terrorists with swine to curb the bombing on their territory...it worked to some extent. I work at FDNY, sometimes at ground zero at the Command Post and we lost a lot of good men, friends, and brothers. It would be so easy for me to say, "Kill them all". But I don't. To be intolerant of the people that are innocent victims in Afgan is wrong. It's the flipping corrupt government and it's supporters, the Taliban, for God sakes - not the entire population. It's the silent majority that suffer. Make the destinction, don't be ignorant. To say, "Nuke the bastards" is a mindless approach that brings no results and only reaffirms the violent actions being pursued by terrorists as violence begat violence. I agree to some extent on the bombings of the Taliban military in order to distabilize...Powell said it best when he speaks of establishing a government that represents all ethnicities after the Taliban falls. We've had a few Anthrax scares here in NYC, but I think we are on the right track.
