I hope you are for real and not just stirring up this old forum. Feel free to post who you are and when you will be at the track. Looking forward to the challenge.
[ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> Re: RPM racing team -- Chris Ragsdale, 10:34:59 01/12/15 Mon [1] First off I come out there to have a good time and hang out with a great crowd(RPM and others as well). I didnt realize we were getting talked about that much lol. But anyway, make me second on your list and if you outrun me I will shake your hand and tell you nice pass. If I outrun you same thing. Now that that is said, how are we supposed to know who to race since you didnt put your name? SCARED already and aint even lined up with us smh!!!!

Denise and I have never shied away from a race and r looking forward to the challenge. Let us know when u r ready.
[ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> [> Re: RPM racing team -- Robbie Horn (IP Adresses kinda like DNA), 07:09:58 01/13/15 Tue [1] RPM guys & gals have all always been some of the best group to race with & hang out with. The RPM gang has spent many of their own hours & $$ working on the track, scraping, grinding, repairing bleachers, painting, & supporting Ken, the track & putting on a damn good show for the spectators. I have personally raced most of them & it really doesn't matter who wins or is faster. There is always no hard feelings and anyone of them will loan out just about anything to help out another racer. The RPM gang is a true hardcore bunch of drag racers that love the sport of drag racing. There is not anything wrong with a little smack talking but it does make a bit of a difference when you don't know who is talking the smack. Kinda like talking behind someone's back like you are scared or something. Well when you post on this board you leave a IP address. With me being the moderator here I can look up who post what on here. I got me an invite to the next RPM get together & I am bringing my computer & am going to show the RPM gang who the smack talker is. It's practically impossible to look up who a person is by their IP address. If they have made a post on here before under their real name, all I have to do it match up the IP address to the smack talker. So "someone coming soon" you have posted on here under your real name and we have a IP address match.
[ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> [> [> Re: RPM racing team -- someone coming soon, 08:35:30 01/17/15 Sat [1] First off...You dont know who I am because I have never posted on here before Mr Horn!!! Second...The RPM group may not be bad people, that is not what I meant. They seem to have the fastest cars out there and that is all I hear blah blah blah. Ok Jeff Denton you will be the first to go down and lose some money. Chris Ragsdale I will take the handshake as long as it has some $$$ in it. Jon and Denise, glad you are up for the challenge. And no Mr Ragsdale I aint scared I just like seeing peoples faces when I show up and surprise them. You all will see soon. Anyone else want some???? Only a few have stepped up????? I dont have to stop at RPM racing. I will take anyones money!!!!!! BATTER UP!

[ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> [> [> [> [> [> Re: RPM racing team -- Racer-Jeff, 07:56:01 01/18/15 Sun [1] Mr. Someone, thanks for your responses. I agree that this board needs some perking up. Before Facebook this was our main place to go. Maybe we can make it fun again. Now, to address your comments. We have been told for the last 2 years that someone is coming out to get us, but nothing ever happens. We have been told that someone bought an engine from one of our friends from C Town and they are coming after us, but again nothing. We have been told that someone would race us just not at the Hill, but still nothing. So, this SOMEONE seems to be fictitious as far as I can tell. I like to see the faces of folks when they are surprised just like you do, however, COME ON MAN state your name. We will still race you and then drink a cold one with you at the end of the night!

So you do not have a clear understanding of what it costs to run a pro mod. Our avg cost per run last year was 1800.00 when you figure in all exspenses. Chris is never scared and is one of most wonderful people you will ever meet. He made a good clean run well below what the car is capable of and set the new track record. We did what we came to do. Test the car and give the spectatorss some new excitement. Chris and the crew were very polite and humble. the track crew was professional and were extreemly nice to us. we will be back if there is a venue for us to run.

As much as I appreciate Robbie Horn and his efforts to promote the track, there is much more missing that the public wants/needs to hear about the track than is what is being posted. Am I the only one that thinks that the Prairie Hill Dragway is missing out on a lot more than they COULD have simply because of a lack of race results posted and a lack of advertising? I can not help but to think that there are less racers and spectators simply because a lack of advertising and the lack of racer participation that follows. I plan on returning to the Hill with my ride this fall, that is, if the track is still open. I don't think they have got last nights on there yet but they have been posting the results on there for a while now. There is a link to it under the pictures at the top of this page. You know that you are more than welcome to come and spectate. I think Ken will let you in without your racecar. I know I don't have a door car at the Hill yet, but I do like to keep up with who is running what and what times they are running with it. Sort of a way of finding out what my competion might be if I were to one day achieve the lofty goal and perhaps have a door car. Yes, I agree that if I want to know everything that happens on any given race night that I should be there to witness it firsthand. I just choose to not spend those hours standing around at the trackto find out the results. My bad. That being said, I believe that I am not the only person interested in racing at PH that does not attend every race night. I also believe that there are other potential participants that watch this site that have an interest in racing at PH. I understand that it takes a few days to get race results posted. What I don't understand is why the posted results are sometimes 2 or 3 weeks behind. From this day forward, I will quit sounding negative about my perceived lack of up to date postings, whether on this site or the official PH Dragway website. It is what it is. When are there 4 or more open wheel? I have already taken myself out of the running a couple of years ago for Low ET money, so why the 4 minimum? I think the Low ET competition might bring a few spectators. These minimums only limit the number of interested racers but also limit the number of interested spectators. I think the minumum should be two or more. Not four. Me excluded. Several dedicated racers have spent numerous hours making improvements to the track at their expense. How about the track making some better terms to attract more racers with faster cars? Just my opinion. [ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Re: TRACK CONDITIONS -- Stick Car Racer, 18:30:08 02/11/13 Mon [1] Oh yeah, I remember you calling it a stick car. No problem from me. It is pretty long, alright. 285" center to center but it pretty much takes that wheelbase to handle the ponies and give enough flex to handle a few bumps in the track at 199+mph(only 178 in the 1/8). You said if your motor had a block problem you would just weld it back together. Is it an aluminum block? The KB hemi I have for sale is all aluminum, a Stage 8, .100 tall deck with 4.375 sleeves (and 8 additional finished honed sleeves), raised cam block with gear drive and a billit oil pump available. KB or AJ 6 bolt intake and a large journal 296* cam / .500 lift cam in stock, too. Stage V rockers arms in stock. You might be surprised at how little difference there is in the cost of moving up to a hemi. I have some intakes, 14-71 Littlefield Hi Helix blower, fuel system parts, etc, etc, in stock now. BTW, I need some chrome moly tubing welding soon. Are you interested in doing these mods in my shop. If I have any chassis mods done, you are the one I want to do them. Let me know. But if you get the CR up to about 15 to 1, you will see the difference in performance. Yes, it takes better engine building skills but the improved performance is well worth it. I texted you my contact info about the chassis mods. I thought most racers were looking for a way to lighten their car, not run something heavy on purpose. Heavier is only better in tractor pulling. I don't get it. Then again, I don't have a door car.

My engine and transmission is in the chassis but no heads on it or anything else. I believe that I found the source of my engine hurting itself (five bent rods and 7 collapsed piston domes) and why it was not producing the horses it is capable of. If I am right, I am looking for 220+ mph. Hope the shut down area is long enough. That barb wire fence at the end won't help much. I will be back to the track soon, just not sure when. Thanks for the question, The Old Gray Haired Guy In The Blue Shirt

I thought the 5.80 index class was for door cars only. BTW: I have two dragsters for sale that would run this class. [ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> Re: where are the cars? -- Barry, 19:21:46 04/23/13 Tue [1] My opinion is that I see next to no advertising, not a very noticeable sign on the highway, the official website is months out of date most of the time, not all racers interested in racing at The Hill are on Facebook, I know I am not, the Low ET money for open wheel racers is only if 4 or more.

[ Post a Reply to This Message ][ Edit | View ] [> [> [> Re: where are the cars? -- BULLITT CHASSISWORX, 12:25:13 04/24/13 Wed [1] IN MY OPINION, WHICH NORMALLY ISNT WORTH A BUCKET OF PISS, IS PRAIRIE HILL IS A GREAT TRACK TO GO AND PLAY. AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, ITS A GREAT PLACE WITH GREAT PEOPLE. BUT ITS STILL AN OUTLAW TRACK. IT WILL NEVER BE THE CALIBER OF A TRACK SUCH AS CRANDALL.. IF YOU WANT THE BIG BOYS TO COME AND PLAY YOU HAVE TO PAY THE BIG MONEY AND HAVE A VERY NICE FACILITY. AND I ALSO THINK STICK CAR RACER IS RIGHT ABOU THE OPEN WHEEL. WHEN ARE THERE EVER MORE THAN TWO? AND THE NO E CARS HAVE A BIGGER PAY OUT THAN THE OPEN WHEEL CARS..JUST MY OPINION...

Thenks, The Old Gray Haired Guy in the Blue Shirt

If I had a door car or maybe just wishing that I had a door car at all, I would think the same as "henry". I'll "stick" with what I have.
