Hey Surfer Bob...Go to marylandstreetracinghistory website and checkout that old "White Lightning" car!!! Remember when we was kids back around '73 and yous mw and Kobbie use to see that thang on the trailer up in Graceton as we cruised on our bicycles!? I think Kobbie painted your bike with that name on it to look like the "big guys" ...Boy we was just punks back then but we sure copied our heros draggin our bikes did'nt we??? This Just In!!! The famous drum kit that Kobbie striped in Fort Monmouth,New Jersey for Tico back in 2005 has been puchased by Hard Rock Cafe and is supposedly on display in Florida. Sorry to report the passing of Bob Wagner,owner of the Original BIG-M/Bel Air Drive-In. Bob is also credited for being the creator and driving force behind the Original BIG-M BASHES . Also, he's the main-man responsible for giving Kobbie his first "big-break" at 'stripin at the BIG-M on Saturday nites and for guiding Kobbie about business and creating Kobbie's Original Frosty X-mas Cruise for the kids! So when yous think about it ...If not for Bob,there'd probably be no Kobbie's Kustom! Along with the BIG-M itself,Bob and his mom will be sorely and deeply missed! Harford County and the Hot Rod scene has lost not only an Icon to say the least,but our cruisin' "sheperd" . Any place else is just a parking lot. The BIG-M was our home!!! Viewing will be held Friday 3-7-08 at Zellman-Mitchell Funeral home on Washington St. in Hdg. Md. 6-9pm. Services are 11am. Saturday at Zellman-Mitchell and the last cruise will be to Bel Air Memorial Gardens. He got started by opening a can of paint back in 1974,and then picked up a brush that his gran-ma bought him at kunkles auto parts in Bel-Air...Most interesting projects,hmmmmmm...I dunno right now,lemme ask him.

He told me that one of the most interesting projects was striping a wild multi-kolored freestyle design behind the backrest of a rumble seat of a totally original Model-A Roadster while it was at Dans upholstery shop,late one night way back in 1991,just before being shipped to Germany.Imagine the look on the guys face when he popped out the backrest!!! Kobbie sez that one of the most exciting projects was flamin' his chicks 928 Porcshe and the night in Jersey stripin' drums and guitars for Obie and the boys!!! Oh yeah...and BURNIN' RUBBER !!!

SORAIA ROCKS NEWARK!!! Sue and the boys put on quite a show Friday nite, they filled the house early and within the hour the crowds were out in the street ! Playing with such raw emotion and feeling it wasn't long before the Kobster was bangin' his head to the wall!!! So rumor has it ,iz that it was wild burnin'-rubba happenin' in Bel Air over the Labor day weekend!!! Seems the green Demon wanted to kick some Slopar butt,and kobbie was seen rollin' on the blacktop in stitches...Kobbie and the Wolfeman has been up to some hi-jinx and the roadster was seen toolin' around town witt some BIG smiles!!! Kobbie sez that he rrrreally wants to get "Petey" up an' runnin' only on this rebuild,(about the 4th or 5th in 27 years) that he wants to build to go FFFFAST!!! Guess he wants to kick some ass like the old days!!!
