OMG!!! Ms. Tina we had a blast at your pageant last tonight! With soo many beautiful little girls(and big ones)that participated last night you should be extremely proud! I would just like to go on record to say that I didn't know your daddy but I am sure that he along with your heavenly Father and the angles are "VERY PROUD" of what you have accomplished with your pageant!!! Not only did I not know your daddy but I don't think that I have ever known anyone personally that has had Alzheimers! The crowns and the Queens gift bags were "AWESOME"!!! But I must say that the one thing that blew us away was the book for which Emily recieved in her bag! Emily is in the 2nd grade and is very enthusitic about reading and when she looked in her bag after her crowning she said "momma I got a new book"! At the time I was watching the pageant and didn't really pay attention to the book itself but on the ride home Emily wanted to read the book to me(this meant of course having to ride the next 25min with the interior lights on)for which I love because that is sometimes our only quiet time to spend together and I would never deprive her of getting to read to her momma(Ilove it)! Not aware of what the book was about I had to pernounce the word Alzheimers for her. As she read the book to me I was overwhelmed at the lesson we both took home from the pageant I began to cry(I'm not a sappy person)! Not only did we take some georgouse stuff home but an educational lesson as well as the compassion we now have for all those who have families or know someone with this terrible deseise! Ms. Tina you are awesome and we love you!!! Thanks again for the oppertunity and the awareness that you have shown us about the Alzheimers deciese and of being able to represent you and this organization! Little Miss Cotton Pickin' Queen 2007 Emily Grace Cox and her momma!
