Yemaya-Stella Maris (Star of the Sea)
by Empress Penguin(me tcn) and Quomm

The pull of water leaves her sticky from its birth,
as she settles on the rocks,
to view the the white sails.

Her story, remains tangled by metallic light,
limited and specific to the infinite stars
that transform the night...

Constellations mirrored in the darkness of the sea.

The moon, like a template,
draws out its redemption on the sky,
breathing echoing white.

These are the beginnings that bind the wind
with the tendrils of her hair,
where music awaits
with the fear of forgotten notes.

Waves pound out a symphony,
on shell drenched shores,
where tidal forces are obedient
and silent to the efforts
of churning chaos into harmonious flight.

Soar! Soar! Thy gypsy pagan you've missed your life!

I know why sailors sing
and why the planets dance behind them
in solar distances of equal time.

I've heard the sirens song,
their lure beckoning sailors down beneath the waves.

I remember a night as cold as this,
where the sudden gift of a comet saved me
from an earthly strife.

The horizon is full of stories
suspended since the beginning of time,
where the truth of what has been and is to come,
reside in peace...

And what I've learned sustains me.

I am no longer the skeptic looking for proof.
