Meeting
finger whispers,
she feels the kiss of ice
lost where she lay in dark breathing
whimsy

Softly
chasing ripples
unseeing the edged silk
that trace where the mist sought her touch,
her mind

To lie
upon earthen,
stretched to reach the unknown
her words fall to her fingers stiff
no more

She aches
knowing love lost
returning to the wet
where all is quiet and calm there
she cries

Hush now,
the darkness hunts
poised to wrap gray to white
lain on the ledge of sanity�s
whimsy.....
