I think the wing issue should read: aluminum wings allowed UP TO 17"- no pro mod style wings allowed.This is more of a safety issue with some body styles than others. A 69' Camaro may only need a 12" wing and go down the strip without a hitch, but fox bodied mustangs usually need a few more inches to to supply enough down force to keep a run from becoming disasterous.(yes I have a mustang)Other racing series have acknowledged this and have adopted the above rule.Besides, your not going to go much quicker or faster in an 1/8th of a mile with a longer wing, just safer.
