] Date Posted: 16:45:38 11/28/07 Wed The Motel is a place I love to come to because it offers me a quiet relaxed atmosphere to browse through. Some days are harder for me to read and write, and on those days I feel blessed to be able to come in here with no pressure on. For myself, I have been writing for many years, but more seriously in the past couple of years. The writing is therapeutic to me, as it offers my soul an escape to what I may not be able to articulate (I know that sounds strange), but in life, I can't seem to express my emotions, until my muse if fired up, then it all pours out, in the purest and rawest forms. I am a single mom of six wonderful kids. Three who now live with their dad, and well, three with me (do the math LOL). Ok Ok...but seriously, I must say that becoming a part of any poetic community is an adventure in itself, but finding a "special" poetic community brings you further along. There are those I will always adore and admire for their talents, for their honest nature, and most of all for the genuine souls that they are. Each of them holding a special place in my heart. Thank you Andy and Sasha for bringing the Motel to life and for all the hard work that you do each and every day for each of us here. You both sooo ROCK! I love you guys! I love ya bunches...and I promise when I get back home, I'll start working on some more awards, since it seems you'll need a few more as the site grows..which it is..and quite quickly. This place just rocks! Everyday, I come in here, peek around and see what our little "partners in crime and rhyme" are up to. The "Dynamic Duo" LOL of our wonderful M3.
