It's supposed to be against the law! It's supposed to be prohibited! It's supposed to be controlled. It's supposed to be stopped! But just like every other thing that's "supposed to be" on the system, it's ignored by the people who are getting paid to put it to a stop. We're told that there are police on the trains. Well, where are they? Why aren't they doing their job? We're told that there are cameras watching us. Well, what are they there for if they're not making things any better? These things cost money and money is something the MTA only knows how to pocket and waste. They want MORE money now. They want to paint the stations. They don't want to WORK for it. They don't want to give service for it. They just want to stuff their pockets a lot more and let us suffer. When I read about WWII and how millions of people got shuffled all over Europe in trains in horrible conditions like having to ride in urine and feces I have to think about our subways. The Times Square station often smells like vomit. The stations smell like old bathrooms. Nobody cleans any of this up. So what's the difference? I'll tell you the difference. The people in the war didn't have to pay to be transported. We do. And now we're going to have to PAY MORE to be exposed to all kinds of nastiness. It's time to get the management and the higher ups out of the MTA and replace them with honest working people who will clean the system of the dead wood that's collecting a salary and doing nothing for it. That's what it's about.
