Subject: ANOTHER INCREASE?

NOW they're pushing it TOO FAR! There's NO accountability anywhere to be seen with this band of thieves and that's all they really are: THIEVES! What happened to all the promises of increased service and better trains and all the rest of the bull that came with the last increase? I wait longer for a bus. Drivers look right at me and pass me by on the streets. The trains are a mess and I've had to wait 45 minutes and longer for one.

WHAT I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT THE MTA HAS CLOSED SO MANY TOKEN BOOTHS AND STATIONS, DONE AWAY WITH CROSS-OVERS AND UNDERPASSES IN THE SUBWAY STATIONS, NOT TO MENTION THE STATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY CLOSED! WHERE'S THE MONEY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE SAVED FROM THE DECREASE IN MAN POWER AND HUMAN PRESENCE AND MAINTENANCE ON THE STATIONS? HUH?

It's just the way it's been for too many years: The MTA decides unilaterally and the rest of NYC goes along with it.

Maybe it's time to bring the MTA to a screeching halt! Just avoid it altogether. Or maybe we should pick a day when the entire city jumps the turnstyles or simply refuses to pay bus fare. How about that for a start?

Times were better before MTA got hold of everything. It's time to get back to the basics and un-do the MTA.
