Sorry for the death of Mr. Smith. I remember the bad press from the 1970's. I've always been committed to civil rights, growing up in southern USA. I didn't realize then that blacks can be dictators, as well as whites. My friends and I cheered for Mugabe in 1980 as a freedom fighter. We were surely proven wrong.
