Positive for himself.

What did he get done for anybody else. He steered CRDA money to his friends thats all. Way way overrated but he owned the press, they were his bitch.

People seem to forget that without his power, the AC convention center might never have gotten built. And his insistence in putting it at the end of the expressway rather than at the end of the Boardwalk beyond Showboat turned out the be a godsend, in hindsight, given the development of the Walk and the Ducktown area.

His innovative legislation that allowed the casinos to recoup some of the money they spend on expansions and additions via CRDA credits was ingenious. Did not cost the public dime, but grew AC at a time when no casino would have expanded with such help.

No, he wasn't perfect, but he was as good as Farley was in his time.

comparing gormley to farley is laughable.......gormley was in cahoots with callaway, and no doubt was on the wire.....he retired one step ahead of chris christie

why go after him, the man retired..........besides, why would christie want to alienate him, which would hurt christie if he decides to seek higher office!!

explain why every document in gormleys office was shredded before mccullough took occupancy

You don't know for certain that docs were shredded. Yes, when McCullough took over, all the docs were gone, but how do you know they were shredded? Gormley hated McCollough and didn't want to give him a leg up in any way, shape or form. It may have been more personal and legal.
