It was colder than she had assumed it would be, out here wandering the bedraggled streets of the city. Not like the sun-kissed shores of the aegean isles, the palm-bedecked paths of the Irish coast or the bright sparkle of glamour that crowned the Champs Elyesses in the early afternoon, but special in it's own right. There was something more magical about this city that she throughly enjoyed, something that sent tremors down her spine. The crystalline emerald hung on a silver chain over the bare expanse of her chest, slowly shifting colors in the midday sun. Beltane trotted placidly at her side, the bells on his collar jangling with every step he took, in time with those of his mistress. |
