*She flew across the deep blue sky, her wings beating against the wind. She looked down, seeing a pleasant place to land, and began to lower herself. Suddenly a sharp pain came to her pregnant stomach, and her flight route became bumpy and zig zagged. She thrust out her forelegs in front of her, trying to break herself from falling. The pain came again, and suddenly she was falling from the sky...an ebony figure streaking through the air. She fell atop a branch from an oak tree, tumbled over it and fell onto the lush, green grass. Many new scrapes and bruises covered her ebon' coat, but that did not matter. She lied motionless for quite sometime, knocked out from the fall. When she awoke, she saw a black egg next to her. She began to wonder who's it was before she realized that it was her's. Her body ached as she inched over to it, nuzzling it. Suddenly everything hit her...She was a lone mother, and would have to raise the foal all by herself, and the baby would grow up without a father. How would she manage? She began to cry, resting her head on the egg, letting the tears fall to the egg's ebony shell. Spreading her wings over her egg and her head, she prayed that she'd stay hidden from danger as she wailed on and on...*
