Confused,
From everything I've read you are a great mom and good mentor to others. All of us that have known you for a while already know this.
Just felt like that needed to be reiterated...

As an adult I really appreciate the spankings I receive from hubby when down or depressed but then again I'm a consenting adult. Of course you just asked the questions because it's so hard to see our kids in pain.

Your daughter is going through such a hard time. I know it's hard but you're so into your girls and I'm sure they love that about you. Just keep the lines of communication open and she'll share with you when she's ready.

Having all boys I'm probably not the best person to give advice but my youngest had similar problems because he was moved up to a math class that was 2 grades higher than his current grade and he became depressed. We just kept trying to communicate and let him know we were there for him. When he was ready he started letting us in and telling us what was going on inside him and by the following semester he was more like himself and eventually we worked through it.

Like I said, you're a great mom and you'll know the right things to say when the time presents itself. We're all here for you!
Keri
