EXCELLENT answer, Confused. I do not know why so many people today assume that no-one can control themselves, whether it's sex or spanking or any other thing. Or that if they knew they couldn't control themselves in a given situation, they would stay away from that situation. A close friend was going through a difficult time in his life & I asked him whether he might want to try S&M. He admitted to being interested in the subject but said he could never do it, since he would have no control in such a situation.
I certainly have never given a corrective spanking, EVER, that wasn't deserved. The ONLY effect that my fetish has had vis-a-vis corrective spankings has been for me NOT to give a spanking that MIGHT not be deserved. My reasoning was also partially that, if the behavior stopped because they had become aware of the imminence of consequences, then the problem was solved. If it didn't stop, then I could always give a worse spanking later, & possibly a reminder as well.
I'm willing to bet heavily, Confused, that if you've ever given a corrective spanking that wasn't deserved, it was an honest mistake, or one based on disinformation, rather than an eagerness to get your jollies.
