when i bleed, it’s my flesh pierced
in knots and tears weeping,
not yours

crushed in barbs led by another’s
tongue and i hold myself tightly
knowing that it’s better this way;
you cannot save me

i refuse you

let me lay here to wallow
singing in the moonlight of my woes
and heartaches

i am immortalized

my own words bathe each
hole in acidity and putrify my soul

it’s my pain…....
mine, i tell you
why should i share it
when i have kept it all these years?

i want this…...
without it, i am not lost
and waiting….
