Subject: Not Pageant Related but we need votes for a Great Cause!

Hi everyone,

I am asking that everyone take a quick minute to vote for a wonderful Greenbrier County lady. Lisa Vandall, from Alderson, WV has been nominated for the America's Most Wanted - First Responder All Star.

Lisa's Bio:
As a youth, EMS Captain Lisa Vandall used to chase fire trucks out on practice runs on her bicycle so she could watch, learn and visit with the firefighters. She joined the Alderson Volunteer Fire Department when she was 18 in 1984 and has been a stalwart member ever since. She is a training officer in EMT and fire fighting and is currently the President of the department. In January of 2008, she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. She began treatment in February and as of September of last year, she has been in remission. Captain Vandall never once left her post as a first responder throughout her treatment and was determined to live her life to the fullest. In addition, Captain Vandall teaches women at the Alderson Women's Federal Prison Camp how to fight fires. She has taught hundreds of women there, the only all -female federal fire department in the United States. She helps women build self-esteem by learning how to do estimable acts. Some of those women have gone on to paid firefighter positions upon their release.

Lisa is such a great lady. Wife and Mother of 2. Her energy and willingness to succeed is amazing. Even when she was diagnosed with cancer, she remained postive and prevailed. This award is a great honor given to extraordinary people who risk their lives to save ours.
