The most significant foriegn policy by Eisenhower was the Suez Canal Crisis and the making of the Eisenhower doctrine. During this time America and the UN told France and Britian to stop attacking the Suez Canal and remain there to protect it from the Soviet Union. Eisenhower decided to suggest a plan that would protect the Middle Eastern states against agression from communist nations and agressors. He also gave financial aid to the nations in need. This had lasting effects which can be seen in the troubles we have in the Middle East now.
