Jonah acted like he was going to nineiva until God left because he just knew that God would come back and save the people, even if he did pray for them and preach to them, to change their wicked ways.

He felt "why even go" so he took off the other way,
he screwed up real good huh,?

Jonah relented and went and warned the people gladly, sure enough God did forgive them, just as Jonah suspicions ,he would

After three days and night in the belly of the big fish
he decided he wished he had listened to God,

So Jonah prayed and asked for forgiveness from God ,
he was serious and later
AFTER FORGIVNESS AND BEING VOMITED ON SHORE
Jonah gladly went to nineva,
just as he should have done in the first place,
because God told him to do this mission for him,,
,it was 'what God wanted'
that 'counted' not what 'Jonah thought' ,

just as Jonah thought

but who can understand the mind of God ?
not me.

and it made Jonah so mad,
he wished he was dead.
even when a big old green vine died
,that God had caused to grow up to shade the 'mad man'
while he pouted more and more

God made a big worm that cut and killed the vine
Jonah got even madder all over again,
at God
he wished for death again..

God shamed him for being so mad
over the death of an old green vine
and was pouting,
because God did not kill all them people of Nineva,,
God said
" they were worth so much more than the vine,"
but it was the thing that upset God,
is because:
"Jonah did not do what God told him to do
in the first place
to go and warn the people"

are you now wanting to also spend a few nights in the whales belly,
it is no fun,
I have been here two days and nights now,
and I hate it
but I am like Jonah,
I do not see any need to go and
warn that lost child any more,
so I will not go
but i shall get his attention by writing for him,

I have God to help me this time,with it,

I was asking God,to help,.
and he said" You have not,
because you ask not."

so i am going to take along

The lad seems to enjoy showing off for others,

"why even go?"
I would ask,

"tell them to go, "
I can see Jonah's point,

but what;
if Jonah's had not gone,
to Nineva?
How do we know;
that Nineva would have been saved,?"

your past grandparents
of long ago,
may have come from there.
thanks to Jonah teachings and preaching,
even today,
you do not know.,

God does not have to explain
his reason to me,
or you.
I just do as he says,.

:it is what God wants us to do,
and what he tells us to do,
that we are to do,
we are not to second guess God
