Subject: Inexpensive troop ideas

All troop leaders struggle at one point or another trying to come up with fun ideas for their troop that won't break the bank. What are some of the ideas that you have done with the girls that they enjoyed. Please be sure to tell us what age level and approximate cost.

Juniors - a trip to the local fire station or police station is free. Local banks may allow visits also

A meeting held at the local park rather than the regular meeting place provides lots of opportunities for science badges

During the summer months many of the local movie theaters offer free children's movies as well

After my first year- being caught up in the craft what are we going to do next time- I spent a little time going through the program and linking craft time directly to the badge we were working on- We built stoves from cans, ovens from boxes, art from re-cycled materials-swaps are also a great fill in for crafts!
