Reina de fina estampa, Andrea Salinas tiene el encanto para lucir. Enfrenta un reto: igualar la hazaña de sus coterraneas Alessa Gamez y Jennifer Valle, quienes fueron coronadas Reinas Mundiales del Banano en 2010 y 2012.

Este año ha sido productivo para el país en certámenes internacionales: Aunque pasamos desapercibidos en Miss Universo, el mal sabor de la experiencia de una pobre representación por parte de Gabriela Ordoñez fue borrado por el triunfo de la controvertida, Gabriela Salazar, quien triunfó en Belice, en el Reinado de la Costa Maya 2015.

La buena racha de éxito, alcanzó también a la misquita, Yunabel Lunabella Unzu, en el Top Model of the World, en Egipto. Allí fue semifinalista y brilló con luz propia, en todo momento. Aunque no sucedió asi con la reina santabarbarense, Celia Monterrosa: no logró clasificación, ni premio alguno en el Miss Continentes, en Ecuador.
