I think in some places and with some types of people there seems to be a large amount of teenagers who undergo surgery for scoliosis some of them may or may not be ones that need it. I currently work as an occupational therapist with teens and kids who have had spinal cord surgery and other injuries that require them to learn to adapt to a new way to do every day things. If you are wondering I do also work with grant on an on and off bases as he's currently still in school getting a degree.

Most of the patients I have that have had spinal surgery for scoliosis are teenage boys who saw it as an easy fix instead of wearing a back brace or doing exercises to strengthen their back and straighten their spine without surgery or where a family member pushed it on them. Others that I work with have injuries like myself where they are paralyzed.
