Girl, Western Europe, abusive exam to hunt for sexual abuse

I am a female I was a school-aged child, 11yo. The exam occured in Western Europe Year 1990 - 1999. I was examined in a health centre Please, Doctors office. Mother took me there. Who did the exam? Doctor and nurse were present there.

OVRVIEW OF THE EXAM

They examined my genitals. They examined my rectal zone. They did a general examination of my pelvic zones. They inserted instruments into my vagina- finger and small speculum.

ARRANGEMNTS

I was totally naked. My positions during the exam: On a bed with legs pulled up and spread apart.

THE ORDEAL STEP BY STEP

First they examined my vulva, then examined anus.They applied lube to my vulva/vagina. Then examined my clit. Then inserted and moved finger around in my vagina. They also inserted speculum in my vagina and examined the inside. The exam ended this way: told me I could get dressed.

FURTHER COMMENTS

later found out my mother suspected I may have been sexually abused. What do you think was the reason for this exam? Didn't know at the time but my mother had told me they would be looking at my vagina and to let them.

What is your opinion about thios experience? scary painful and uncomfortable

They did not examne my urinary system. They palpated my outer female genitals. They spread my genital lips to look inside. They examined my vagina with a speculum They took speciments (pap smears etc) from my vagina with an instrument. They performed an outer ultrasound exam of my female genitals and lower tummy area.

They did not du any rectal or bowel exam other than anus

The exam took a very long time. The exam did not result in any diagnosis"


COMMENTS

This occurred during a time when authorities scared the populations in Nor.th America and Western Europe about frequency seriousness and symptoms of sexual abuse and giving this term a vary wide definition. Any unnormal or unusual sign, interest or lack of interest in a child or a parent was interpreted as signs of sexual abuse or that the child himherself were an abuser of other children.

The exam told about is typical for what happened in Norway or Scandinavia and still happens in Norway even more than ever. The land is not told about, but I guess it happened either in a Scandinavian country or in United Kingdom.
