Subject: REPORTS ABOUT MANDATORY SYSTOSCOPIES OF MALE KIDS

Certain communities, schools or youvenile intitutions subject all kids, and especially boys to a mandatory cystoscopy at certain age levels. Usually these are combined with some endoscopic inspection also through the anus.Here is a collection of reportsabout boys I have obtained through polls about this issue.

MANDATORY CYSTOSCOPIES OF MALE CHILDREN AND TEENS INCLUDING 20 YO

Boy/man, western Europe, many cystosopies during childhood and adulthood

I had cystoscopy - I am male. The exam took place in Western Europe multiple times when I was 1 Years old, 6 years old, 10 years old, 12 years old, 14 years old 16 years old, 18 years old, 20 years old, 30 - 38 years old, 40 -49 years old. It happened in the years 1970-1979, Years 1980-1989, Years 1990-1999, Years 2000-2004, Year 2005, Year 2006, Year 2007.Year 2009, Year 2011,2013,2015,2017,2019.

The cystoscpies were arranged in several ways from time to time: Cystoscopy occured in a hospital. Had cystoscopy in a special room at school apart from the rooms where ordinary physicals occured and I did not know that that special cystoscopy room at school existed, as it was some secret place.

Also doctor and nurse team was driving around in the area in an ambulance-like car. They visited homes, schools and kindergartens, took the children into the car and performed a cystoscopy on them there.


PREPRARTIONS

Got an accurate explanation of what should be done and the reason.

Got to a special preparation room. Had to undress completely and go to bed.nThe whole bed was rolled with me upon when the time for the exam had come. Taken vitals like temperature, heart rate and blood pressure. A doctor came, asked questions and explained.

Got lubricating and pain-killing fluid inserted in through the urethral ioening. Was totally naked during exam. I lay on my back with streight legs, lay on back with legs in stirrups.

WHAT I KNOW OR REMEBER ABOUT THE PROCEDURES

They put a rigid stick-like cystoscope in through the urethra. They put a flexible snake-like cystoscope in through the urethra.

They pumped up the bladder with air or gas when looking inside. They pumped up and irrigated bladder with water when looking inside. They took out the scope and inserted a new scope to take further specimens. The scope or a new intrument was inserted even further up towards the kindeys.

I am not sure, but had pain on the sides of my back as if they inserted the scope even further up towards the kindeys. They also used an ultrasond probe on the stomach to inspect the bladder area. They inserted an ultrasond probe in through the anus to inspect the bladder and genital area.They made an ultrasound exam of the scrotum and testicles. They inspected the whole colon - full colonoscopy.

ARRANGEMENTS AFTER THE EXAM

Had catheter in the bladder some time after the exam. Got medicines into urethra with a syringe after the exam.


DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENTS

Diagnosis - urinary infection. Diagnosis - valves or constrictions in the urethra. Diagnosis - neurological problems. Diagnosis - urinary infection. Got mediaction for infection.

Got hormonal therapy or other medication for development disturbances. Had corrective surgery. Had to have a cathetherization routine. Had to have catheter in the bladder during night.


REASON AND JUDGEMENT

One reason was problems with urination. Also all boys in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy before beginning school . All prepuberty boys in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy. All teenage boys in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy as a part of the puberty assessment. Certain age groups of adults are given a offer for cystoscopy as a standard screening.The cystoscopy was also a part of a research project. It was painful.


COMMENTS

This man had several frequent cystosopies during childhood and adult life. One reason was problems with urination, another bodily development problems.

But this community also performs mandatory cystoscopies on all boys at specific ages, schoolstart, preteen and puberty. These are the typical ages for such mandatory cystosopies. Also additional exams in the lower digestive system and genitals were done which is common addition to the mandatory cystoscopies.

Some societies perform these mandatory cystoscopies only on boys, others also on girls. Possibly also girls in this community had them.

Such mandatory procedures usually have as purpose a combination of research and screenung for actual problems in the kid.

The community also offer cystopscpies as a screening procedure for adults.

These mandatory and offered procedures were also a reason for the ordeals. Such mandatory cystoscopies seems sometimes to be useful, because problems that could grow serious at a later time are detected.

It is not certain from the account if his problems were detected only by the mandatory exams, but the cystosopy at 1 year was probably done because of symptoms he had.

I am male. Both I and my son had cystoscopies, at ages 6,8,12yo, during period 1880-1999, and in the year 2011

The exam took place in North America at a hospital and also at school. I did not know that that special cystoscopy room at school existed, as it was some secret place.

Parents said something liketji to me: The doctor shall look at you down in your stomach.

Had to stop eating several hours before the cystoscopy. Got to a special preparation room. Had to undress completely and go to bed. While in bed given medicine to get very sleepy, but was awake. Had to walk by myself to the exam. Taken vitals like temperature, heart rate and blood pressure.

A doctor came, asked questions and explained. Got a shot to calm down and make sleepy. Was totally naked during exam.

Lay on back with legs in stirrups.


WHAT I REMEMBER FROM THE PROCEDURE

ABOUT THIS PRACTICE IN THE AREA

All boys in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy before beginning school. All prepuberty boys in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy. It was unneccessary.


COMMENTS

Several communities around the world perform cystoscopies together with explorations through the anus in all boys, and some also in all girl, combined with vaginal exploration.

It looks from the answar that this community already has a long tradition for this practice at boys around 6 and again again in the prepubertal area, since both father and son had it, the son surely in 2011, probably at age 6.

Then it is highly prpbable that the boy will have a new procedure around these times, 2021.

The remark about vaginal inspection is probably about the girls in the area.

The reason for the procedures which is taled very little about to the general public, is to detect development abnormalities, but also for general surveillance of the young population, for research and to use the kids as training objects in education of health professionals.

When the procedures are so extensive like told about here, the risk for the kids themselves are greater than any expected benefit, as I can see it.

I can't remember what they said. I was brought naked into the room by a nurse. Had to stop eating several hours before the cystoscopy.

God lubricating and pain-killing fluid inserted in through the pee-hole. felt like i was peeing.

Had catheter in the bladder some time after the exam, they said because of swelling after the treatment I had to have a catheter put inside for a bit longer.Got mediaction for infection.


FIRTHER REMARKS AND OPINIONS

All prepuberty children in the area has a mandatory cystoscopy. Me and all my friends got it. It was not any big deal. We did it in groups and it was cool seeing the hard tube being put up the penises of the other boys in the room. I was scared at first but it did not hurt much at all.



COMMENTS

In some societies around the world, all children have a mandatory cystoscopy, usually combined with inspection into the anus and some way up into the colon. The purpose is to look for common problems boys and girls have at that age, but also for research.

It is usually not told about to the public, and will often come as a surprize. With modern instruments, and with gentle handling, this can be done with only local anestesia without much discomfort. When done as in this case it often shows to be useful. The boy probably also got some mild sedation to feel calm.

It seems like they found a small abnormality that was treated right away, probably some kind of blockage. If it had not been seen so early, it could have resulted in greater problems later.

COMMENTS

Ultrasound equipent was not in common use at that time, so what is reported as ultrasound wos probably some kind of speculum inserted before a longer scope was used in the anus.

It is recommended that all boys that has had an urinary infection shall have cystosopy and it is possible that cystosopy combined with sigmoidoscopy was even mandatory for all boys, and possibly also girls, at that age in this community. One also frequently find some problems to be treated by these examinations.

Even though these exams are rather inrusive, they can be perfomed nearly painless with local anesthesia, light sedation and gentle approch, so the doctor was probably somewhat clumpsy.

When these exams are done in a cautious way, with measures to take away pain, they are usually not painful, even if one do not use general anesthesia. Still general anesthesia is is often used by these mandatory procedures.

I have got another report that seems to be from the same boy, about further exams, especially of the lower digestive system. They probably decided to check him further after this mandatory procedure.

COMMENTS

Several communities around the world subject all children to a mandatory pelvic inspection to assess development status, to look for abnormalities and to hunt for signs of sexual abuse. The pre-puberty period is the most frequent age where this happens, which means 11-13yo.

Some big schools have a special department where these ordeals and other special exams occur.

It is common to use deep sedation or general anesthesia during these ordeals. But some places where many children are examined this way, they tend to avoid this to keep down costs and because such anesthesia is risky.

It seems that they fairly often detect abnormalities in boys that are corrected afterwards, as happened in this case.

When done cautiously analgetic fluid should actually be enough to hinder pain, but the abnormalities might have caused it.

I am male. The exam took place in mid North America, Boston, when I was 13 years old, Year 2011.

Got a hospital gown before going to bed. Got pain-killing gas through a mask that made me calm and sleepy.

The scope or a new intrument was inserted even further up towards the kindeys. They also inspected the whole colon - full colonoscopy.

Got medicines into urethra with a syringe after the exam. Had to have catheter in the bladder during night.


All prepuberty boys in my area has a mandatory cystoscopy. It was painful.


COMMENTS:

This boy underwent a full endoscopic inspection of his urinary system up into his kidneys and a full endoscopic inspection of his anal area, rectum and colon. It was not asked about it in the poll, but probably he also underwent a full exam of his genitals and pelcic area and stomach with ultrasound equipment and taking of specimens of microbes and secretions.

These full pelvic exams with often similar inspections of other body areas seems to follow a standard procedure. In certain districts in some areas round the world these seem to be mandatory for children and teens at certain ages, of which the age level 12-13-14 seem to be the commonest. Some of these districts only do it for boys, while others for both boys and girls. Those doing it only for boys seem mainly to be in USA and Canada. The district in Boston where this boy went to school seem to be one of these.

The purpose of these mandatory exams seem mainly to get a view of the development status of the kid, detecting development abnormalities, investigating signs of sexual activities or sexual abuse, education of new doctors in doing endoscopic exams, and for scientific research.

COMMENTS

In several communities all prepuberty or early pubertal boys have a mandatory pelvic exam that includes cystoscopy and inspection through the anus, and in some also girls have it. Sometimes this is done by an ambulatory team coming to the home of the kid in a medical van. Even that it is not told directly, this procedure probably happened in such a van.

Often this is done with the kids under general anesthesia, and many kids has probably had this exam without knowing it because of the anesthesia and because these exams are not told much about to the public. They often come as a surprize. In some areas the exam is done only by local anesthesia. This may cause some pain, but one avoids the risk of complications that anesthesia gives thereby.

It seems that one fairly often detect problems in the urinary tract in boys by these exams that lead to some tretment.
