Guten Morgen Knut,

The ectrophysiology diagnostics and treatment related to various conditions is not talked about much, but is somewhat routine.

It is possible they were advising sphincter muscle retraining using biofeedback or similar methods, to treat incontinence.

Some of these reports of a family group do sound too similar for the same treatment recommendations. It might sound obvious but male and female anatomy is different so different techniques are used in treating somewhat similar conditions. It is also different between adults and children.

Some of these reports suggest the use of needle electrodes either as part of initial diagnostics or even as part of the the retraining treatment. Did the parents have to give the kids needles in sensitive areas? That would be an indication of highly invasive or extreme medical treatments being recommended.

Bitte Schon!
