I have never seen such a list and never searched for it either. But I have read a lot of what is recommended officially. In addition my polls have the aim of finding out what is done in real life.

Counselling about eating habits, and toilet habits, together with mild laxatives, including natural ones like linen seeds, are definitely the most frequent recommendation.

I hard cases daily small enemas are also recommended.

Some children are born with imperfect enervation of the colon, and in more severe cases surgery is done to remove the imperfect part.

But based on my polls, physical adjustments of the anus, rectum, colon and urinary system seem to be fairly frequent, and it seems this is mostly done by widening narrow passages with balloons that are pumped up.

At it seems this is done not only for manifest problems with toileting, but also for behavior problems in general. This is something never thought about or recommended officially, but I cannot escape the conclusion that this practice is real and widespread in certain communities or subcultures.

It seems also that this is done for kids that do not have any problems at all for themselves, but where their natural schedule do not fit the schedule of school, kindergarten, sport club or society in general.

The same communities seem to have the same attitudes against all kind of individual variations in kids, and businesses like for example orthodontic treatment, psychological regulations and all kind of orthopedic adjustments, seem to be flourishing within the same communities.

It is not clear from this story how this surgery was done. But it was an elected procedure after some initial examinations, probably colonoscopy and manometric tests.

The appendicitis happened later in his teens and might have been a complication of digestive problems, or complications caused by the treatments earlier.
