I've attended numerous CHEETAH games at "The Hawk" since it's opening, and am anxiously looking forward to the 2003 season. I proudly wear my Chico Walker (still the best manager this franchise ever had!) to each game.

In past seasons the CHEETAHS have played an exhibition game or two with admission free at "The Hawk". Will this occur prior to the 2003 season?

It appears the CHEETAHS are re-tooling the team with new players and leadership (as far as on field personnel goes) for the upcoming season. Even some of last years regulars are returning, which makes for a nice blend of old and new talent.

While I'll miss some of the "old timers" like Rinne, Balet and Schmitz, I believe change is good and important. I, for one, am glad to see this approach taken by the CHEETAH management.

Because of this and the added scheduled activities at "The Hawk" this coming season, I'm considering a 10 game season ticket package. It should be an exciting season in 2003!

WARNING TO ALL CHEETAH FANS: THIS TEAM IS GOING TO COMPETE THIS YEAR. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!!! DuBois County, Who? Rockford Who?? COOK COUNTY CHEETAHS, THAT'S WHO!!!

Seattle,

Thanks for the kind words, I gotta say, Mike Moore is doing a great job of finding us experienced players and some pretty promising rookies, so we're obviously looking forward to this year. We have a great schedule, all 3 holiday weekends, and we're selling a lot of group tickets already - for instance, the June 20 (Friday) game is almost sold out already thanks to a huge group.

Right now, we've got 2 exhibition doubleheaders planned, one on Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m. with the Japanese team we played last year - that game will also have the 'Meet The Cheetahs' party for ticket package holders at noon. On May 20, we'll play Rockford at 6 p.m., also a doubleheader. There's a chance we'll schedule another game or two, but for now, that's the tentative plan. Admission for all exhibition games will be free.

So, we'll all keep at it and hopefully 2003 will be good in a lot of ways. Again, thanks for the support!

Chuck

Yeah it's going to be a good team, but there is no Dubois County anymore :)
