I thought it was stupid to have Brittany Kokinos compete by herself when it was obvious she was being appointed. Also, she needs to change the way she walks. Walking across the stage with your upper body facing the audience is wrong, wrong, wrong. Also, with the history of the Lake Lanier pageant this should have been a biggie. I think they shot themselves down by not having this as an open (even though there were a lot of counties included), and I think they should have done a better job of recruiting. Or maybe the word is out that Pennie does not like anyone offering her advice.

They let Brittney compete because she has no experience whatsoever in the Miss Ga system. PS needs to realize that she is not doing her GA Girl queens a favor by using an OT appointment as a prize in her "for profit" system. Cara would have won if she had spit at the judges, that was secured before the pageant began. Most of the local directors are good honest people who try very hard to create something wonderful for the girls PS is a pirana in your midst. She is using the Miss Georgia system as a prize package for her pageant and although its unofficial everyone knows it. It won't be long before she moves up to the Miss Contestants, she is greedy and keeps changing the name of her system because her ways are discovered by parents and contestants alike.

That she could have easily just appointed her as she did Brittany, had she wanted her just "to win" she would have done that.

You do realize that there is no possible way for a ED to even view the scores, or even told about the scoring, told prior to crowning who won... John Herring is a very honest Field director and upholds all of this... there is no possible way for Penny to have secured a win for Cara, she would have had to just appoint her... you need to check your MAO rules and you would know all of this... ED directors have NOTHING to do with the scoring and will never even get feed back... This has to be a parent of a teen in the event last night or a visiting teen or you would know the rules... it is the directors choice to appint or compete, she could have done it either way....

if PS didnt know the scores, she wouldnt have been able to tell me EXACTLY how many points I lost by, and in what category. shes unfair and everyone knows it, the only people who actually LIKE pennie stathis is the girls that win her pageant. and not deservingly, most of the time.

Not that anything needs explained, but I have always and will continue to have an "open door" policy. If you have a concern, address it with me.

BK was appointed almost 2 months ago. It has NOTHING to do with what other systems she has done. CT WON last night on her own merit. 4 girls competed in interview and evening gown. 3 judges were from out of state, 1 lives between GA and MS, 1 from GA. I had only met 1 of them prior to Saturday morning. I have nothing to do with the judging, scoring or any decisions made as to who the winner is. I never see the scores or worksheets. I don't even know who the winner is until it is announced.

I will not have an OPEN pageant for many reasons. Appearanace opportunities for one. It would be very difficult for a winner to make an appearance with ony a 4 hour notice if she lived in 6 hours away. If we only had 5 contestants who were dedicated to their platform, that would be fine. MAO is not about numbers. We get nothing from the girls who enter. They make a donation to CMN - not us.

It is obvious that this post comes from somone who is a teen's mom or someone who is bitter. The way it is worded says a lot about the poster. Noticing a few people who were in attendance and knowing of a few calls that were made, speaks voumes as to who would post something like this. MAO is not a circut pageant and can't be compared to any other.

I can asure you, I have no hand in any decision made with MAO. But, I think you already know that. It has nothing to do with MGG. If you really knew me, you would know that we do encourage teens; MGG, Coed, NAM and others, to compete in MAO. It is a wonderful opportunity for the girls. I am happy that many of them, past and present have done so. It is almost laughable that you would even make a comment that an OT title is part of the "prize package". Seriously...

As far as been greedy, you have got to be kidding me.

Best of luck to you in the future and I would encourage you to contact me directly. Pennie Stathes 770-833-3842

FYI..Brittany Kokinos was in the performance last night, but was not judged... Her photo was up long before the pageant as the appointed winner.. there was no scoring for her, just a part of the show, some experience with the other teens and to be crowned on stage. Also, I thought girls switched over systems all the time? I see it with these types of systems as well as Miss America/Miss USA, teens in the area associate with the same pageants in the area, I am sure many of Pennys past pageant winners have gone on to win a lot of events, just so happens the same one she owns as well..

Last nights teens were all marvelous, but I think Cara stood out well, the other was appointed, I dont see any harm done.

would have been to ignore that post and take the high road as a director, not add fuel to a catfight. Most of us assumed it was a bitter mom.

Brittany has done great things with her life - she has a child and the guy will not marry her and last summer she was arrested for shoplifting/burglary/larceny is Gwinnett County. Great role model, wonderful waste of a piece of crap!
