- It does not matter who started it .What matters is how it is run to keep it going and it is going down pretty fast you got to have someone that has been around racing and knows cars how to set the rules to keep the cars going and have them where it is fair for everybody because these guys will build cars to fit around the rules or bend the rules and run and be alot faster then everyone you have to have people that are unbias about every car and tech all cars and also you are going to have to change the cap 465 is scarring alot of cars away the only reason they are running now is because yall are telling them as long as there are 16 cars they will get something.   You know all you guys are crying about rules....... What the hell, the rules don't make a damn bit of difference when you have an ET cap on the class. If you have an ET cap then it is nothing more than a index race. I agree there should be some rules but the chassis design and style is not going to make a car any more competitive when there is a cap on how fast you can run. If you really want to make it competitive put a max tire size of 31x10.5w tire and then have the cap. I do not care for the 4.65 cap myself but I knew it was there when I signed up to race with the group. I'm not even close to running a 4 anything so the cap whatever it is will be out of my reach.   The mustang in question will no longer run with this organization. There was a mixup on the rules being vague about bolt on which left a gap. It has been corrected. Robert's car has no problem with a cap. He just can't run faster than a 4.65 . Someone mentioned that a lot of slow cars this year....not true. For the last two years some of the cars have run in the 5.70 range on the high end. Now we have some more coming to have a good time. And they are faster than a 5.70. - You do not know to much about these grudge meets or these kind of cars i do chassis work and have most of my life and been doing this kind of racing all my life along with Gaylen and all the other guys that been doing this and chassis do make a differance if i were to take a rail or a chassis car and dial it in to a 465 no one would have a chance so you see chassis and car weight do make a differance that is why rules are for backhalf and door cars because it does make a shit that is like saying motor size dont make a differance.   You are right Billy I just came into the scene as far as heads up racing goes. I do not know what has been going on all this time. I'm just calling it like I see it. I do not want to get in a pissing contest with anyone either. I finally got my car to where I think it could be competitive in heads up racing even though I tend to hurt alot of parts trying to make the SBF run fast enough to compete. But I still bring the car out and race. If yall do not want new comers coming out and trying to race I can always take the nitrous off the car and return it to strictly bracket racing. I've been reading post for years and both sides make very good arguments now both sides must find a common ground and start making changes . Fact 1. Koth car counts are hurting the 10.5 class is making changes to keep a car count and bring back fans the pioneers of the KOTH are all but gone because going fast in heavy cars cost big money. Fact 2. This class was started with cars as run what you brung with a mixture of cars both chassiss and backhalf but changing to backhalf made more since and brought a great car count running low 5's and high 4's which my guess is still the majority of racers. There are many racers that don't race because they feel they can't run and be competative anymore with cars getting quicker .Fact 3. As fun as racing is running a car is expensive and wasting money you pay for fuel ,NOS,repair and parts and thats before you get to the track.We must be crazy to do this anyway but we love it.Car owners want respect and deserve it . So with all that said this class great potential for racers not trying to break the bank or the sound barrier let's get a group of racers togather that represent the majority and work out the problems get more cars out have some fun and maybe stop some of the bitching notice i said some hahahah!!!! And if you have nothing good to say about this post go right ahead.

- I agree with you I believe the cap is a little low when the majority of the cars run 4.9x and slower why not set the cap a that without it it lets the super fast cars come and dominate the class as far as actually winning the race goes sure slower cars will make some rounds but very rarly will one win the race. I have been in talks with some local guys from Ft Worth who are currently doing a local show on Charter Cable who would like film our races and interview the drivers before during and after the race. I gave him the concept of racers calling each other out and featured match races with good old fashion trash talking from drivers and fans . The videos would be avalibale to purchase trackside and online . I think this would be great for TBH Outlaws not many classes have drivers interviews and fans comments .How does this sound drivers and fans?

  Whats so crazy about all this is someone put a class together so we can go race and have fun, then some of the cars started having possibilties of going faster than the last couple seasons so there was a cap put on the class to Prevent that from happening(where there was no cap before)and some went in panic thinking everyone should run 4.65, the cap was placed there so they wouldnt get any faster, the slower cars will stand a better chance with this cap rather than not having one at all, jojo did win the last event shutting off early but you got to leave with him or it dont matter how fast he is, he put a tenth on a 4.80 car on the tree which means he could of won the race by running 4.90's, the cap was to protect the slower cars so that 4.50 cars wouldnt invade (NT) -- bill, 04/29/09 15:50

Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts.....
Some of you may know my Grandmother passed yesterday. My daughter has also been in the hospital since Tuesday night with her kidney stones. When it rains it pours right?
