Subject: Choreography Problems

First of all the pageant set and choreography was so much better last year! What happened?

In the parade of costumes the girls looked like they did not know what they were doing and when Korea - Diane Koo stopped in the middle of the stage in the National Costume production number and gave something described as a "WAR CRY" stopping the production number, the audience started laughing and stared in disbelief. That is why when she was chosen as National Costume winner the audience was silent. All Diane did was Stage Hog which is poor sportsmanship, not queenly and poor manners!

The choreography of the swimsuit competition was horrible. Two girls came out 2 at a time and then afterwards they were directed to go to stand on a place on stage and move their hips back and forth bouncing to the music. This was extremely distracting to the Contestant that was trying to compete in swimsuit. Also it was unfair. In other pageants the contestant will get to compete in swimsuit with not all the distractions going on behind her. Even all the lights moving around all over the stage was distracting and taking away from the girls.

Same thing happened in evening gown. And then when Diane Yoo - Korea came out on stage in a gawdy oversized "costume" gown it was a humourous sight to see.

At the announcement of the winner, it was the first time I ever saw a pageant that did not have the other contestants on stage! Or did they all just refuse to go back on stage? Very strange and anti-climatic when she was announced as the winner. Usually people rush to the stage to take pictures but in this case everyone just quietly filed out in disappointment. :-(
