Calling all music performance librarians!!! Do you desire to receive information and training, share experiences and questions with other colleagues of like minds... then this seminar is for YOU!

An assembled panel of professionals experienced in performance librarianship and music publishing will be presenting a seminar on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 9:30 am to 5 pm in the Rodale Room at Allentown Symphony Hall. Receive techniques and processes used by major symphony orchestra librarians that will help make your job easier, more efficient and address the issues that affect regional and community orchestras, bands, and other instrumental ensembles.

A distinguished panel of librarians and music business professionals will address these issues and answer your questions. Panelists include; Russ Girsberger, Juilliard School of Music, Ensemble Librarian and author of “A Manual for the Performance Librarian”; Daniel Dorff, Vice President of Publishing, Theodore Presser Company; Elena Lence Talley, Principal Librarian, Kansas City Symphony; Kile Smith, Curator of the Edwin A. Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music; Charlie Harmon, Principal Librarian, Alabama Symphony.

Students interested in the arts or majoring in arts administration are welcome. Conductors are welcome to attend and learn more about the discipline and how to better work with the librarians of your ensembles. Conductors are encouraged to have those librarians attend as well.
