Toronto - These guys just don't seem to mind packing their bags and playing in someone else's yard. The Jays are 7-0 away this year so far. Homer Bush and Jose Cruz are leading the offense. Bush is batting .381 with 3 HR's and 14 rbi's. Cruz is cruising with a .396 avg with 4 long balls and 16 runs knocked in. On the mound Starter Rick Halladay is on fire already posting 2 wins with a 1.69 ERA. 2 studs in the bullpen are closer Billy Koch, 1-0 with an ERA of 1.00 and Paul Quantrill who is 2-0 with an 0.84 ERA.

Boston - This team is not 7-6 due to their offense. 4 guys are hitting over .300. The pitching seems to be holding the team back. The bullpen is getting slapped around except for Rich Garces and Rivera. Garces has an impressive 0.89 ERA and Rivera has a 3.24 ERA. We won't talk about the rest of the pen. In the starting rotation Saberhagen and Mendoza are more than earning their salaries. Mendoza has already tossed a shutout and has a 1.64 ERA.

Baltimore - Albert "The Un-retired" Bell is wreaking havoc on his opponents so far. Batting .344 he has went yard 4 times with 13 rbi's. Mark Lewis also has a hot bat with a .340 avg. To the Mound we go. Sydney Ponson, despite a 4.39 ERA has managed to get 2 wins already. The pen (other than the closer) is looking pretty sharp so far. They are 3-1 and 4 relievers have ERA's under 2.50.

NY Yankees - Who would have thought we would see these guys near the bottom? Well if Nomar has his way they will not be there for long. He is batting .586 with 2 HR's and 4 ribs! Yes, I said .586! Rumor has it that even the opposing fans have been cheering for Nomar...until a source said the crowd was actually chanting "NO MAS"..not Nomar...
Bernie is also batting .392. Now..who would though Pedro would have a loss before the tax filing deadline of April 15th ..not me..but he is 1-1 so far. El Duque is the man so far posting 2 wins with a 2.05 ERA. I am not overly impressed with the bullpen as a whole but Lowe has 2 saves and no one has scored on him yet.

Tampa Bay - This team does not hit for average but they make their hits count. The Crime Dog and Ben Grieve both have 4 Hr's and Greg Vaughn has launched 5. Mickey Callaway is 1-0 on the mound with a nice 1.23 ERA. Closer Bill Taylor is going to bury this team if he does not get it in gear. Taylor has already lost 2 games and only has 2 saves. Taylor claims that as soon as the XFL season is over he should be getting more sleep..yeah..whatever..

Thx for reading
