Each contestant is required to turn in 10 items; Non-perishable food items, and at least one coat or jacket. Coats/Jackets can be any size and can be new or GENTLY used. All of the food collected will be donated to the Solid Rock Church Food Pantry and all coats/jackets will be donated to the Solid Rock Church Homeless Ministry to be distributed on Christmas Day to the homeless.. *~ Jefferson County's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant Solid Rock Church 4509 Centerpoint Road Pinson, Alabama Pageant begins at 10am. Saturday, December 8, 2012 Entry Fee: $45.00 *ONLY 10 CONTESTANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN EACH DIVISION* Every Contestant that enters by November 15 will receive a beautiful crown! We are offering a $10 discount for siblings! Divisions Your division is based on your age as of January 1st, 2013 Baby Miss (Ages 0-23 months) Tiny Miss (Ages 2-4 years) Little Miss (Ages 5-7) Petite Miss (Ages 8-10) Junior Miss (Ages 11-13) Teen Miss (Ages 14-16) Miss (Ages 17-23) Ms (ages 24 and up) *YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE!* Answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Attire: Attire for this pageant is Christmas themed CASUAL WEAR! This can be custom made or off the rack, but not Outfit of Choice! It should still be casual wear, not a costume. Hair and Makeup: We are not a glitz pageant but do allow makeup. Please come completely dressed and ready to compete. There will be a bathroom available for minor touch ups but please arrive completely dressed in your pageant attire with hair and makeup finished! Competition Details: Contestants will do a walk of choice to upbeat music. We provide the music so you do not need to bring a CD. Model like you are in a fashion show! :) Check In: Check in begins at 9:00 and ends at 9:45. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY TO CHECK IN. Contestants will not be allowed to check in after 9:45 so be sure you are on time! WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATE CONTESTANTS! Judging: Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Stage Presence and Personality. Queen of Hearts title: All of our pageants are "Pageants with a Purpose" and we love to teach our girls the importance of giving back to the community. Each contestant is required to bring in a minimum of 10 items. The one contestant that brings in the most items will be awarded our Queen of Hearts title. If you are bringing in more than the required 10 you must have the items counted prior to turning it in. All items must be in boxes or REUSABLE shopping bags labled with the contestants name and division. The contestant who turns in the most items with the proper labeling will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed sash and entry fee paid to the 2013 Alabama's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. All of the food will be donated to the Solid Rock Church Food Pantry. Ambassador: Our "Ambassador" title is awarded to the contestant who refers the most contestants to compete at the 2013 JEFFERSON COUNTY'S Miss Heart of America Pageant. For a referral to count the contestant must put YOUR name in the referrer line and pay her entry fee. Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the 2013 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of the USA Pageant. Viewers Choice: Our Viewers Choice title is voted on by the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and you can vote as many times as you'd like. The contestant with the most votes WINS! Winner will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of the USA County Queen sash, rhinestone pin, and entry fee paid to the 2013 ALABAMA's Miss Heart of America Pageant. Miss Photogenic: Photos can be of any size and do not have to be professionally done. This can be a headshot or full body shot. You can include up to 5 photos at $10.00 per photo. The photo with the highest score will be used towards your total photogenic score. We will award ONE photogenic winner. (with enough photogenic entries in each division, we may award divison photogenic as well) *YOU MUST FIRST ENTER YOUR DIVISION BEFORE YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE FOR THE PHOTOGENIC TITLE* We will also award a first and second runner up in each division. Each person entering the church (except for the contestant) is required to purchase an armband. These armbands are $10.00 each.
