Now the house that Nancy O'Shields and her children lived
in was a house with no shape. 272 acres of farmland now taking care of 272 acres was not easy. Well she would not be able to do this. But Nancy had slaves that were a great help to Nancy O'Shields. Now let me say that I don't like the idea of slaves. But they were respected and were treated right. And truth is they were there and was glad to help. Nancy's children had their chores and each child did their part. Nancy O'Shields was a nurse maid and was always helping others. In those days a family would help one another. Sure would be great if they did today. Boy oh boy how time has changed. This family had lots of love in their family. I wish that a family was that way today. Now I know that there are still some that pray tighter. But there are so many that just do not. I got lots of info' from family members. I learned so much from my first cousin Annie Wilson.
