Subject: I have NO PROBLEM with gals competing for a state they work in. All my life I have lived on the board of 2 states. I often refer to myself as having an "identity crisis" because I feel so connected to both states. I have worked and done business in the other states as much as my own state. HOWEVER, the important factor is that because of the where the metropolitan areas are in the 2 states, (in conjunction with where I live), I am more up to date on issues and activities in the other state than my own! I feel I could have an easier time getting appearances in the other state! If the pageant allows it, it is for a reason. The directors view it as fair!!

In reply to: any advice? 's message, "How do you feel about ladies who go to school in or work in the state that you live and work in that want to compete in that states pageant? Do you think it is fair? I am here I can make the appearances This is where I live and work. I would HATE to see our state title go to a lady from out of state that will not promote it they way I can" on 19:50:03 01/14/09 Wed
