My Fellow National Directors of World Festival Queen:
My name is Frank Ikegwuonu from Nigeria. I am a producer here in Lagos for Urbanmingles Productions Ltd.
Last June 2009 I was invited by the World Festival Queen organizers to send a delegate to represent our beautiful country in their first pageant that was originally had a scheduled on October 4 to 24 then later moved to a new schedule November 8 to 28 then later to November 22 to December 8 and now postponed to an indefinite date on late February 2010. World Festival Queen boast that they have at least 60 delegates confirm to arrive in the Phillipines in their first salvo.
Based on our franchise agreement, I am to send delegates from Nigeria and 11 other African countries including Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, Malta, Namibia, and South Africa (please refer to my webpage, www.nigerianentertainment.com/worldfestivalqueen, which is also posted as a link on the Facebook page of World Festival Queen). As producer of a TV reality series program and indie films, I am capable of producing a national pageant to this countries.
Last August 28 to September 5, 2009, I traveled to the Philippines with my TV crew to see and meet the World Festival Queen organizers. I have been in constant e-mail exchange with Dr. Benjie Teodosio. In Manila I met Roland Jota who introduced himself to be the chairman of World Festival Queen and a broadcaster of a TV network here ABS-CNB, and wearing ABS-CNB uniform t-shirts all the time during our tour. Jota brought me and my crew to far flung remote villages in the Philipines called Viscaya and Ifugao. He said Dr. Teodosio is in Australia that time so I never had the chance to meet him.
When we started to meet with the governors, I started to get the shocks of my life. Jota meet with three governors of the Philippines which appears to me that he is only starting to negotiate with them. He had been asked for calling card but he cannot give any. Instead he distribute out thin books he call ON THE SPOT MAGAZINE which later I learn is not a legitimate business (not paying tax, not regitered in the government). That was already in September and the finals was only two months from then. I was shocked and began to have questions in my mind about the veracity of this international pageant and of this person. I began to doubt Jota because he had many stories that is intertangle with each other and are queer. But I held my doubts to myself to give Jota the benefit of the doubt, after all their president Dr. Benjie is a respected fellow at the United Nations and a practiceing professor in the most respected university in the Philipines.
Back to my tour in the Philipines, during this meetings, Jota told me that he is bankrupt and that he has no money for the prizes and crown and their website. When I visited his small crammed office in Quezon I asked to see the crown or papers that he is a legitimate businessman and the pageant I joined was a legitimate international pageant. But he failed to show me those, but he insisted to ask me money. Jota asked me to loan him 1,000,000 one million US dollars. All this he told me while in front of Jim Calata of the Viscaya government. Jota asked the Viscaya government to pay him 3,000,000 three million Peso over and beyond the hosting of the acomodations, foods and refreshments because he said it will be used to cover for the prizes and crowns for the finals. We also went to a local hotel in Viscaya where Jota asked the manager and the owner to cover fully the foods, acomodations, and refreshments on the pageant tour (which he already asked from the Viscaya government). The governor and the government officials told us that the letter of intent was "approved in principle" because of Dr. Teodosio, a respected educator and advocate of human rights and culture in the Philipines. But when the doctor had never appeared in any of the meetings and Jota was asking a large amount of money, all of this was rejected and Viscaya will no longer host the tour because they sensed Jota refer to them as a milking cow. I repeat Dr. Teodosio during all this travel with me and my crew in Luzon, Viscaya and Ifugao was not present and we have no communications with him whatsoever through email or phone.
Jota also told me that out of the thirteen members of the board of World Festival Queen, four already back out who formed another pageant, Festival Queen of the World. Judith Arlyn Vergara is the Chairman of Festival Queen of the World pageant, if you will notice, our franchise agreements is represented by Judith Arlyn Vergara of World Festival Queen. Jota's girlfriend told me that they had a falling out because of problem with sharing.
I am writing this to you my fellow national directors to warn you. Jota is a scammer and an opportunist. He has no money and all he want to do is to gain money from all of us. He asked me money several times when I was in Manila. Aside from I have to pay for all the food and acomodations of my crew, I also have to pay for his girlfriend Mummy Mina and sons acomodations who was with us when we went around in the Philippines. When I asked for copy of the pictures he said I have to pay him. I came to the Philippines paying my own air tickets and acomodations. I learn from Jim Calata later when I am already in Manila that the Viscaya government paid the foods and acomodations in Viscaya of us and Jota’s family when we stayed there at the Saber Inn. So what was the one hundred thousand pesos he asked from me and I gave him then?
With Dr. Teodosio, I have no problem. He is a good person and all his records are good and spic and span clean and has a good integrity. I check at the University of the Philippines a prestigious university in the country, he is of good standing professor there. He graduated also from University of Sydney in Australia. He is the only one keeping World Festival Queen credible. I repeat IF and only IF Dr. Teodosio is REALLY PART OF Jota's SCAM.......
I am sad I was victimised by Jota. I am warning you to NOT allow yourself to be scammed. THERE IS NO PRIZE MONEY, NO CROWN, NO CASH TO PAY FOR THE HOTEL AND FINALS VENUE. ROLAND JOTA is a crook! He is a womanizer and has many children from different women so he badly needs the money to sustain them..... He has no legitimate business and only ask politicians for money. He IS NOT A BROADCASTER. I have been asking him to guest us in his TV or radio program but he failed to give me any date because he does not have any TV or radio program. I went to ABS-CNB but they do not have any show or blocktime programs in their radio or TV or cable that Roland Jota hosts. I have already withdrawn my country directorship.
To any of you who want prove. Check their website www.worldfestivalqueen.com ---- the photos in the events JOTA IS NOT A PART OF IT. HE WAS ONLY THERE AS A BOGUS REPORTER WHO TOOK PICTURES AND VIDEOS. He is not even one of the organizers of the event there, you can check with the governor of Ecieja who despise him.

Even though the Mister Facebook Universe contest isn’t a registered brand or a official contest we believe that with everyone’s support this “contest” could become as popular as the facebook site. This, as far as we know, is the only male beauty contest that runs through a website and the only one who allows the viewers to be the judges. Despite the fact the contestants never meet on a stage and that the price is a photoshoped picture in which they get a trophy drawn on their hands and a scarf around their neck, this years edition had more than 4.000 members or “viewers” so to say.
As facebook is already as important for some web surfers as Google, we want to bring you the top five of this year’s contest which was held during the last few weeks and came to an end this December 19.
Aunque el concurso Mister Facebook Universe no es una marca registrada o un concurso oficial creemos que por medio de nuestro apoyo podemos lograr que este “concurso” pueda adquirir la misma popularidad que ha alcanzado la pagina Facebook. MISTER MANHUNT COSTA RICA 2009, Mister Costa Rica World 2009 and Mister Costa Rica Universe Model 2009. -- MBotW Moderator, 15:14:49 12/22/08 Mon [3]
We would like to introduce you Mauricio Mayorga, Mister Manhunt Costa Rica 2008-2009, who was chosen last month to represent his home country in the Mister Manhunt International contest, which might be celebrated around April or May next year.
The 17 year old had to beat out other 7 finalists to place himself on top and earn the right to represent his country in this prestigious contest. Nevertheless, it is told that the biggest and hardest obstacle he had to beat were the social prejudices held among his parents, especially his mother who was in total discontent with his participation in this contest. “The first person I told I wanted to compete in this contest was my mother, but her reaction was quite strange. Besides the fact she told me I should wait until I was older”, says the young Mauricio, who thanks to his aunt’s help he obtained his mothers permission to compete. This story is quite similar to what happened a year ago with Mister Egypt Amr Samaha, whos father was against the fact that his son would participate in a beauty pageant, however, the night of the contest Amr´s father hugged him on stage and apologized himself, afortunately the same story happened between Mauricio and his mother, who once she heard the results couldn’t hold back her happiness and apologized with her son, “after the contest, once we were more calm, she (his mother) offered me her apologies for what had happened at the beginning”, he says.
Some curious facts about Mauricio are for example the fact that he is still underage and is at present in his last year of school. He has never posed for professional photographs before and he has never done runway. He also says he would never pose nude in front of cameras and once he finishes with school he would like to study Advertising or International Marketing.
Currently the organizers of the Mister Costa Rica pageant are working as hard as they can to leave Costa Rica’s name high above, just like they did this year in the Mister Manhunt International contest, but this time they want to go for the big price.

Les presentamos a Mauricio Mayorga, Mister Manhunt Costa Rica 2008-2009, quien fue elegido el pasado mes para representar a su país natal en la próxima edición del Mister Manhunt Internacional el cual aun no tiene fecha exacta pero se estima que será entre abril y mayo del año que viene.
El joven de apenas 17 años fue elegido por encima de 7 finalistas para representar a su país en este prestigioso concurso. Sin embargo, se dice que su mayor reto fue combatir los prejuicios sociales en su propio hogar, pues sus padres y en especial su madre no lo querían dejar participar en dicho concurso. “A la primera persona que le dije que quería inscribirme en el certamen fue a mi mamá, pero reaccionó de una forma extraña. Además, me dijo que debía esperar tener más edad para madurar”, cuenta el joven, quien gracias a la ayuda de su tía pudo obtener el permiso de su madre para participar en el concurso. Historia muy similar a lo sucedido hace un año con el Mister Egipto Amr Samaha cuyo padre se opuso a la participación de su hijo en el concurso de su país, sin embargo, en la noche de la premiación el padre de Amr subió a la tarima a abrazarlo y a disculparse con su hijo, lo mismo afortunadamente sucedió entre Mauricio y su madre quien una vez enterada de lo que había sucedido no pudo evitar su felicidad y hasta se disculpo con su hijo tal como cuenta Mauricio: “En la noche, con más calma, ella (su madre) me pidió disculpas por lo que había pasado al inicio” reveló.
Entre los datos curiosos que podemos encontrar acerca de Mauricio está el hecho de que aún no cumple la mayoría de edad y aún está en su último año escolar. Además nunca había posado ante las cámaras fotográficas o desfilado en una pasarela, hasta este momento. Cuenta que no esta dispuesto a posar para fotógrafos tal como Dios lo trajo al mundo y una vez terminado el colegio desearía estudiar Publicidad o Comercio Internacional.
En estos momentos la organización encargada de llevar a cabo el Mister Costa Rica esta poniendo todo su empeño para poder dejar el nombre de su país en todo lo alto, tal como sucedió este año en el Mister Manhunt Internacional, sin embargo, este año no se conformaran con entrar en el cuadro de finalistas.

Besides Mauricio the nights winner were also Eduardo Esquivel and Marco de la Ossa who Hill represent their country in the following contests: Mister World (in case it is held) and Mister Universe Model.
Ademas de Mauricio entre los premiados de la noche estan Eduardo Esquivel y Marco de la Ossa quienes representaran a su pais en el Mister World (de llevarse a cabo) y en el Mister Universe Model, respectivamente.
